Reflecting on Trustees' Week

Why do I volunteer? Having worked in the NHS for 30 years, and then in the voluntary sector for 10 years, I know first-hand what a difference volunteers can make. The majority of those 40+ years worked in the community of West Cumbria, it is a truly special place to live and work and has given me so much. I feel it is now my time to give something back. - Linda Hewitt

Last week, we celebrated the incredible contributions of our trustees and recognised the difference they make.

Over our social media channels, we introduced you to the dedicated individuals who volunteer their time, skills, and knowledge to support unpaid carers in West Cumbria.

Did you miss our posts? Fear not! Head to our website to see what our trustees said about their experience volunteering with Carer Support West Cumbria.

Charities make a huge and positive impact on society, and trustees are the people in charge. Each of our trustees brings unique talents, perspectives, and experiences to the board, and together, their collective decision-making strengthens our mission.
